Nathan Caine is portrayed by author Lars Jacobson in the movie “Novocaine Lookmovie” as a singular person who, in addition to childproofing his workplace, abstains from solid foods out of fear of inadvertently biting his tongue. He is so concerned about the repercussions of ignoring this desire that he even sets an alarm to remind him to use the lavatory.
