Teenage DJ (Miles J. Harvey) informs us, “I’ve been thinking a lot about family recently,” and Riff Raff examines almost every type of family you can think of, including blended, biological, chosen, and criminal families. DJ is having fun on the family’s yearly New Year’s trip to their vacation house in the woods, where his mother first met Vince (Harris), whom he now calls “Dad,” almost 20 years ago. Dark and violent histories are revealed, along with some very real danger brought on by Rocco’s interactions with the mob, when Vince’s son Rocco (Pullman), his pregnant girlfriend Marina (Emanuela Postacchini), and his mother, Vince’s ex Ruth (Coolidge), gatecrash their idyllic getaway.
