I learned about counselling when I was a kid. Our family would make the weekly trip to the counselling office to talk about feelings. I hated going. I didn’t see the point. But it was something we did, week after week.
I wanted to do things different. I didn’t want to be a stuffy therapist. And didn’t want to fall into a bunch of “therapy lingo”. I surrounded myself with like-minded people who built their counselling practice by being real. In 2012 I started my own practice and have been doing it ever since.
I am an Advanced Relational Therapist having completed all levels of RLT. Also trained in Gottman, CBT, Solution Focused Therapy and approved marriage facilitator for Prepare-Enrich. Most couples I work with have been referred by their friends, colleagues and acquaintances.
I am grateful and appreciative to have been awarded Top 3 Marriage Counsellors over the past several years in Hamilton, Gold and Silver Awards from Burlington Votes in 2021 and 2024 and most recently have been awarded the Top 3 Marriage Counsellors in Burlington
