Description

Michael, played by Christopher Abbott, is a young farmer who is attempting to maintain the family company despite being neglected by his father, Ray (Colm Meaney). Due to the severe circumstances, little Jack (Barry Keoghan) takes a few animals and makes up a story about them being dead, which sparks a rivalry with a nearby farming family. Michael confronts Jack’s father, Gary (Paul Ready), after discovering the animals at a market, exposing this deceit. After that, things start to get worse altogether.
After directing a number of short films, Christopher Andrews, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jonathan Hourigan, is directing his first feature film. It is difficult to pinpoint the precise causes of the movie’s flaws. It appears to rely on a lot of well-known clichés without adding enough uniqueness to make the story interesting or valuable. With numerous aspects that are strikingly similar to those in other films that viewers may either see again or see for the first time, the movie seems to be a collection of cliches.
