Description

Forza Horizon 6 rewards curiosity. The game may begin with the simple goal of becoming a Horizon Legend, but the deeper experience comes from discovering what different cars can actually do. A road racer can become a tuning project, an old sports car can become a drift machine, and an ordinary-looking vehicle can suddenly become the perfect choice for a difficult Festival Playlist event. With Drift Attack now arriving as a permanent activity, Forza Horizon 6 Credits can help players invest in more specialized builds without treating every vehicle as if it needs the same upgrades.

Drift Attack’s biggest strength is its accessibility. Rather than sending players through a separate menu into an isolated event, Playground Games places the activity directly in the Shared World. Driving through the gantry at Shimanoyama Circuit starts the Drift Attack, allowing players to move naturally from open-world exploration into a scoring run.

The activity also introduces Clipping Zones, which reward players for positioning their drifts accurately. This means that a wide, dramatic slide is not automatically the best move. The car needs to be placed correctly while maintaining enough speed and control to continue through the circuit. Players who can combine angle, speed, and positioning should have a natural advantage over drivers who simply hold the throttle down and hope the car survives.

A useful way to learn the system is to treat each corner as a separate exercise. First, find the point where the car naturally begins to rotate. Next, learn how much steering correction is needed. Then experiment with throttle input to keep the vehicle inside the intended line. Once those three elements become familiar, linking multiple corners together becomes much easier.

The permanent Shimanoyama Drift Attack arena also means improvement does not have to happen in one session. Playground Games plans to retain the arena while adding more Evolving World Drift Attack experiences in future series updates. That creates a long-term reason to keep tuning and testing rather than treating the feature as a one-week novelty.

Players who prefer lap racing can use a similar learning process with Time Attack. Instead of judging an entire lap as simply “fast” or “slow,” divide it into braking zones, corner entries, apexes, and exits. If the car repeatedly loses time in the same section, that is the place to investigate. Sometimes the solution is a tune adjustment; other times the driver is simply asking the car to do something it was not designed to do.

This is why car selection matters so much. A car with a huge top-speed number can be spectacular on a long highway but frustrating on a technical circuit. A lightweight machine may appear less impressive in a straight-line comparison yet become much more enjoyable when the road starts twisting. A balanced garage therefore gives players more options than simply collecting the highest-rated vehicles.

The Festival Playlist encourages exactly this type of variety. Weekly challenges and seasonal events can reward different driving approaches, with cars, Credits, Wheelspins, and other rewards available for completing objectives. Checking the full weekly list before upgrading a vehicle can therefore save resources and prevent unnecessary tuning.

Another useful habit is keeping at least one relatively stock version of a favorite car. Maximum upgrades can be fun, but they can also erase some of the characteristics that make a vehicle interesting. A classic car with moderate power and predictable handling may be much more enjoyable on mountain roads than an extreme conversion that has been pushed far beyond its original personality.

The upcoming British Automotive series adds another reason to keep an open mind. Beginning September 10, the Horizon Festival will feature a British Automotive Takeover at the dealership, three British new-to-Horizon cars obtainable through the Festival Playlist, and four more new-to-Horizon cars for Car Pass owners.

The McLaren W1 has already been confirmed as one of the Car Pass additions for September 10. The arrival of a modern flagship hypercar alongside the British-themed content provides another example of how different driving philosophies can coexist within the same game. A hypercar invites high-speed precision, while a classic sports car may reward patience and momentum management.

Japan itself is effectively another part of the game’s tuning system. Urban roads demand quick direction changes. Mountain routes expose poor braking habits. Open highways reveal high-speed stability. Different surfaces and road shapes can make the same vehicle feel like an entirely different machine, so exploring away from official events is not wasted time.

For players who enjoy multiplayer, the Shared World design also makes casual experimentation more interesting. Drift Attack supports Convoys and encounters with other players, while other activities such
